Where does Lawson explain LAUA security for MS Addins?  I had understood and proven through over 5 years of security class testing that the access a user has in the Lawson application is the same access the user will have in MS Addins for form functions and data level service.

We encountered one instance where MS Addins is not returning all the data that should be allowed and our tech team doesn't understand MS Addins.  They are trying to present the case that because we do not use the Security ConÞguration file (security.cfg)  MS Addins is not secured.

I want to respond appropriate and efficiently point them in the right direction. Can anyone provide support that LAUA dls secures MS Addins.

Sherry, LAUA security is a complicated topic, so can you be more specific as to what data is not being returned and how you are using the Addins?
For example, is the security issue related to using Addins for querying tables or forms? What type of data (i.e. HR employee data, Requisitions, etc.)?
In addition, you need to be aware of the extra IOS security filtering based on employee, requester, etc. identities.
Lastly, security.cfg is used to enable security filtering on select/drill-down on fields that have different names, and it has nothing to do with Addins.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!
