How do we add new phone type to the "Add A telephone pager or fax number" screen. Currently it has landline, mobile, Pager. Fax and TTYTDD.
Administrator --> resource --> resource --> open the resource --> Select Personal Information (on Left) --> Add Phone.

Hi Srini Rao,
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible. Rather than having the phone types in a configurable table, they are actually defined on the business class or db field and are not user-modifyable. I opened an enhancement request on this years ago, but it has never gone anywhere. Unfortunately, the delivered types are almost useless - I don't care if it's a landline or a mobile - I want to know that it is what they consider "home"...
The only option we've found (using v10) is to use Config Console to add a new userfield to the EmployeeContact business class and define the types we need there, then update all the forms, reports, etc. to include the new userfield.

Hello Kelly, I hate the option on phone screen and they way they export it to S3. We are on 10.1.X, Let me try to use CC to Add use field and Update the phone type.
It's very confusing for Employees to update phone number. We use collect the phone numbers using HR20 (5 different numbers) and use the information to update phone directory etc.,

I agree completely. What we did was add security rules to the EmployeeContact screen so they can only update non-work numbers in TM. All the work phones are updated by our IT Service Desk in HR20 (S3) and we have a custom IPA flow that interfaces those numbers to TM (and flagged as "work") on a schedule. We have another flow that pulls email address from Active Directory to update TM work email which then interfaces to S3. We hope to fix this whole mess eventually in TM10 - but it will be an optimization item for after our go-live.
