8.0.3 to 9.0.0.1 app upgrade

Need a breif outline document that has the various steps in brief to upgrade from 8.0.3 to 9.0.0.1 app. we are currently on LSF 9.0.0.6. Have a lot of custom tables, forms and programs.. is there a lot of manually work to recreate these componenents or is the upgrade process intelligent enought to not touch the custom componenents and upgrade the Lawson std componenets. I am just in initial info agthering phase. Any input is appreciated.

We have a test version of our upgrade up and running from 8.1 to 9.01 apps. When completed no customizations come in the upgrade. All of those are steps in our plan for review the customization and recreating it.

Upgrade programs take all the "standard" data from your existing 8.0.x productline.

then it converts the data to and put that into a fresh 9.0.x productline

any customized programs/forms/tables will not get converted.

they will need manual works to modify/move/copy/dump/load etc

We upgraded from the same version you are and we had to have all the customizations manually rebuilt. The Lawson standard upgrade programs will not move them.

Thanks for the info. When you upgraded to 9.0 apps did you upgrade your self service apps from 8.0.3 -> 9.0 ?

We have LOTS os customizations in our 803 self service pages. Want to know if there are significant changes to how functionality is handled in 9.0 self sercvice pages , will re-applying the customizations to 9.0 self service be cumbersome ?

RSS/EMSS from 8.0.3 > 9.0.x is huge differences. I would dare say your customization(s) will need to be reimplemented if it works at all.

Hi,

Can anyone provide insight on how you migrated your process flow data? We're on LSF 9 and the flows are already in an xml format.
