I would really like to change several of the AP Userfields. e.g. ISR-USR-FLD-01 to FLDNBR1

Does anyone know how to make this change. The application is AP20 - usr field tab.

You can change the labels of the fields by editing the AP20.scr file and recompiling the program.
Notice: This will disappear every time you apply a patch that touches AP20, and you'll have to do it again.

If you are using "Portal" you can change the XML file for the form. We did this for fields on HR11. Things like "Religion" that we are using for other purposes. (I think it was in a folder: \\app-servername\c$\linte5\apps\prod\map\default\hr11.1.xml )
