We have just upgraded to ESP5

Now when users go to Form AP10.1 they see new buttons on the screen. Customer(AP10.4), Approval(AP10.7), Xref Vendors(AP15.1)

Users do not have access to these forms that the buttons are pointing to.

Previous to this we were on ESP3. I thought that if users did not have specific access to these forms the buttons would not show up on AP10.1

Did this change in ESP4 or ESP5?

How do I prevent the users from seeing these buttons now?

You can deny access to the forms for the security class of the user. AP10.4, AP10.7, AP15.1 etc. Then the buttons will go away.

Have they changed the logic since ESP3.

I didn't have to deny access to these forms previous to ESP5.

It seems previous to this that it only showed up if they were given specific access to the forms.

I am new to Lawson and I was not here when this was originally set up. So I am just trying to confirm where the change had occurred.

The forms/buttons should not show up if it was not granted in your ESP3. If you go into security admin, do you see the forms access as granted for Ap10.4 for example? (it should show in green or blue color)

No, I don't have any rules in my whole system giving access to these forms specifically.

Again, They did not show up in ESP3, they only showed up when we upgraded to ESP5 and we are not granting any access to these forms. If fact if the user clicks on the button they get an error because they don't have access.

If the security class does not have access to AP10.4(Customer) for example, in AP10.1, the button for Customer should not show up unless there are other rules in other classes in the same role is granting the access.

Can try recompile AP10 also and see if that would fix the issue.
