PO's for S type items

We currently create PO's for equipment that needs to go out for repair and code them on the PO as an 'S' type item.
Since these PO's do not create an open receiver, we are not able to receive item in PO30.

Is there a best practice on how to handle 'S' type PO's so that equipment that comes back can be received/tracked somehow in Lawson?

Sorry - no. That scenario is exactly why they are done as X in our system.

This is a challenging issue...spitballing here. You could create 2 pos. One service for the repair and on no cost for receiving. Probably hard for the vendor to keep straight.

We create one po with 2 line types. one with the X type for the receivable item and one with the S type for the non receivable.
