Does anyone have any thoughts on how the latest news on Huron will impact their Lawson practice?

Uh, is someone who wants to remain anonymous competing against Huron for a client or ???  Odd post from an odd user...

No, not at all. It just seems like there has been a pretty big shakeup at Huron, one of Lawson's partners, and I was curious.

We have used Huron on several occasions and received an email from them a few weeks ago to not expect the consulting side of the house to be impacted by restating of income. Huron has been the grants specialist and we use them for that piece. I wouldn't let this impact whether or not to hire them. They are the best I've found in terms of GM consulting.

Their Lawson practice is very specialized and appears to be a tiny portion of the overall picture. On the other hand, same happened with Andersen and Bearingpoint. So, while I agree it's nothing to panic over, I would still be diligent.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

I spoke with someone from Huron today. They indicated that the Lawson practice is not touched by the changes around this. The same consultants that we have used and will continue to use will not be effected. They also indicated there was no adverse effects to cash flows from the restatement of net income around the issue above. They were open with me and stated they have had several inquiries into the long term stability of Huron from clients, and from their perspective, all is the same in terms of long term stability with the firm. I hope this helped. It also helped me clarify the position of using Huron with the folks here at my site to get the facts from a trusted source inside Huron.
