How To Ideas needed: How to view the same Pay Stub as an Employee

Good Morning,

Our HR Specialists frequently, and I mean frequently, get calls from our employees wanting to look at something (deductions, hours, etc.) from their paycheck.

While the employee is looking at their Pay Stub, our HR Specialist don't have than ability.

Sure they can look at the paycheck information / data, but it's not in the same format as the Stub.  That makes it tough to follow along and understand truly what the employee is looking at,

Additionally, there are times after an employee has left the company that they are requesting a Pay Stub...but don't have online access to it anymore.

How are you folks handling those situations?

Is there a way for an HR Specialist to look at the same Pay Stub that the employee is seeing, and we are just haven't found the right menu option?  Even generate / print a Pay Stub from the past?

Is there a way to securley output all the Pay Stubs and store them for future use?

We use MHC Document Express. The payroll team can see the actual PDF from there. In the past I used employee self service systems and generally admin access would allow others to view the pay stub.

So to clarify...the payroll process in S3 outputs all the PDFs, and then you store them in MHC Document Express where both employees (in lieu of ESS) and HR specialists can view the stub.?

In re-reading your question. HR does not have such access only payroll. And yes payroll can see the PDF in document express, they can also see it in MHC Doc Self Service.

Follow-up question...

What is generating the PDF pay stub file(s)?  Is that a function of S3...or a function of MHC Document Express?
