Just an FYI I'm new to the HR module, I primarily work with CM,PA,PR,LP. I'm trying to identify any discrepancies between HRHISTORY and PA54 regarding a particular user field. Doesn't PERSACTHST table flow directly to the HRHISTORY table? Any ideas what tables, etc. may be the best way to narrow down any variances? Thanks for any help!

It depends. I would think whether or not HRHISTORY is updated depends on your HR10 set up.

I checked HR10 and was unable to locate user field settings. We do however have the history flag set in HR04.4 for that specific alphanumeric field in question.

If you are looking for user fields in HRHistory, remember that the field key is actually the 'real' key + 2000.

So if you are looking for a user field with a field key of 96 - it'll be stored as 2096 in HRHistory.

Also, I'm sure you are aware of this, but PersActHst ties to HRHistory via the obj_id in the first which links to act_obj_id in the second (i.e. every tracked change caused by the action stored in PersActHst will be have the obj_id of that action stored in act_obj_id in its row in HRHistory)

If the user field is changed with a PA52 action it will populate both PersActHst and HRHistory but if the changed is done on HR11 it will only populate HRHistory. Assuming history tracking is flagged on HR10.
