I've seen a couple of threads here about Kronos and Lawson. We are currently sending position codes to Kronos but we would like to start using the Job Code instead and then marry it to the process level and department when creating the time record for PR530 to pull in. For anyone currently using kronos, is this the right approach? We are trying to make it easier at the clock for employees when transferring departments and not having to type/remember a position code, and also cut down on the number of positions that are being maintained in Kronos.

Any advice / suggestions are appreciated.

Our KRONOS is configured with several labor levels that equate in Lawson to be Process Level, cost center, job, special character and status. Our position codes follow that same configuration and are parsed out when sent to KRONOS. So, a FT nurse in ED would be 30260087000F. If they transfer to CCU, they would just change their cost center LL to be 150. As the position code is brought back together for the PR530, that time period would then be 301500870000F. The time record would then be expensed based to 150 and not 260. I know that isn't what you asked but I am not sure how you will marry up job codes to PL + dept. All our nurses have the same job code.

We use Kronos, and when employees have to transfer departments at the clock, they have to use the whole position code: department + job code. We have a list of most commonly transferred positions posted at each time clock to help employees.

Margie,

What you said is what I meant by marry - "As the position code is brought back together for the PR530, that time period would then be 301500870000F".  What your process for bringing the position code back together for the PR530?

Kristie - how many position codes do you have?

We have approximately 1350 positions across 5 process levels.

When bringing the time records back from KRONOS to Lawson, we join (add/concatenate) the KRONOS LLs back together to form the position code.

We are having trouble with the PR530 not recognizing our PRTRCSV file to load in our v10 test. Has anybody had that problem and/or know the solution?

Hello, I know this is an older post, but we have Infor S3 and are currently using PR530 to import a file. We are interested in implementing Kronos. Is there someone who has success with this process that I can contact to discuss IPA, FTP and PR530? Thanks

I'd be interested in this conversation too.  We are looking to move our time and attendance to Kronos Workforce Ready and want to know the process between Infor Lawson S3 and Workforce Ready.

I'd be happy to have a discussion. We have the added nuance that we pay hourly and salaried staff current. But things are going well as far as moving hours from Kronos to Infor. I won't be available until Wednesday. But we can organize a conference call if possible.

Ok, thanks.  I'm in Salt Lake (MDT).  On Wed I'm available in the morning until 11 AM MDT.   Then also available in the afternoon from 2:00 MDT on.    Will either of these times work for you on Wed?

Thanks

Hi there, Friday is pretty open for me. Let me know a couple of times that might work for you and I can set up a Skype call. I think there was someone else interested to discuss this topic as well.
