Does anyone know how I can set up a union deduction that uses the following formula using the current options in Lawson:

= Hourly rate x 2.5

I don't know how to get the system to look at the hourly rate without having to set up  a "custom calculation"

Thanks,

You can't use Calculation type H - Amount per Hour?

Hi Stephanie,

The problem with the amount per hour is that it gives me a flat amount per hour that the employee work, or at least that is what I understand (I have to say that I am new to Lawson). In my case it does not matter how many hours you work in a particular pay period, because what I need to deduct is only based on one hour of work.

For example: If I worked 10 hours at $20 per hour my deduction calculation should still be $20 (1hr) x 2.5 = $50

We have ours set up as Percent. In the amount or percent field we have the appropriate percent. We also have a pay class attached that contains pay summary groups with the appropriate codes so it takes a percent from those wages.
