We are in the process of upgrading from 8.03 to LSF9 and we are having trouble getting a workunit to trigger once adding a requisition.

I am able to trigger the workflow from Processflow Admin Tool  and it does create a workunit, so I know that the Service, criteria level, and process definition are setup correctly....however, when I go to add a req through rq10 the req does not get picked up by pflow and workunit is not created.

I am thinking that there is something that is missing in the setup between the portal and process flow.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you set the requisition approval type at either the IC01 (company) level or the RQ01 (requesting location) level or RQ04 (requester) level to use the approval type that uses process flow?

You may also have to restart the pflow services (RMI, EM, BPM, SCH) - sometimes that does the trick.

Hi,

We just went live with 9.0 apps this weekend. In 9.0 on RQ04 there is an approval flag which needs to be set to 1 so that PF will create a work unit. If you upgraded to 9.0 apps check out the RQ04 settings. If you want to network my e-mail is joanna.bledsoe@jhsmh.org

You can actually set it to 1 or 2.

1 = Header Using Process Flow
2 = Line Using Process Flow

I did set the approval code on rq04 to Pflow.

Ok - that's at the requester level. So you need to be using that requester to create the requisition. If it is still not creating a work unit, check the status of the pflow services (in windows, from a command prompt, type laservstatus).

It looks like there may have been a step missed in the upgrade which caused the wfobject table to be empty and that is what caused our problem. We seem to be unclear on whether we can use the pflowimpexp.pl because we are only upgrading our environment to 9.0. In other words, we are staying at 8.03 apps with the 9.0 environment. does anyone have any idea whether we can still use pflowimpexp.pl to populate all of the wf tables?

Hello Aida,

We were on LSF9 and went from Apps 803 to Apps 9 - go live was last weekend. There were a bunch of things that were not documented in the PF install instructions from the downloads secton of the Lawson support site. E-mail me off line and I can share with you lessons learned. joanna.bledsoe@jhsmh.org

If your wfobject was empty you may have missed installing the w-wfdata-90.zip file.

Thank you but we are not upgrading the apps only the environment...so we will have a 9.0 environment with 8.03 apps
