I'm a developer, not a sys admin. We are going from 8.1 to 9.0. We are also changing from a RS6000 to AIX. In our current environments when one executes a script it works with just the script name. In the new environment, one must enter the path name and script name. Is this fixable? I seem to remember a way to set $LAWDIR/bin as part of a default path for all Lawson users but I don't know how. Any suggestions?

Your users need to have $GENDIR/bin included in their ("search") PATH. Typically this is done by adding it to the PATH set in the (default) /etc/profile. A better way is to add the "cv" command to the /etc/profile, since it sets all related Lawson environment variables, e.g.:

> . cv lawprod

BTW, RS/6000 and AIX are the same thing. RS/6000 is the hardware, AIX is the operating system.
