Portal (ESS/MSS) is not working on Windows8 IE11, it says browser version is not supported.

Is their a way to enable for IE11?

I haven't seen IE11, but we had to put our Lawson servers in the compatibility list in IE9 and IE10. In IE9, you find that under the IE Tools menu.

I posted an answer to this in another thread on this forum, but the gist is that IE11 isn't certified currently, and may be difficult to certify for any release of version 9, due to the changes Microsoft made to the User Agent. Since it now looks more like a Mozilla-style UA, Infor would have to update the portal code, without enabling unsupported browsers.

I may be wrong on the level of difficulty, but I would be very surprised is they retroactively fixed it (for releases prior to an as-yet-to-be-released 9.0.1 ESP14)

If anyone has anything correcting my statement, or adding any clarity, please feel free to join this discussion.

As a follow up, please read this for details:

(NOTE: This article was written by Eric S, the author of Fiddler, so I would consider his answers gospel-like in quality)

After a quick glance of the article I posted, there appears to be a way to allow for the use of compatibility view's custom UA string feature to spoof an IE10 UA. I haven't done it, but assuming it's trivial, you could probably produce a work-around quickly.

The issue then will be working with your client's/organization's desktop management team to push the updates out uniformly.

I believe even if you get the compatibility mode functioning Lawson Portal/Workspace does a hard check for version number of 8,9, or 10 so you would still receive an error along the lines of Portal not supporting IE 7.
