We are upgrading using win 2008 and to 9.0.1 enviro & apps, but the testers have experienced major slowness. We've upgraded a few to IE7 and the problem is solved.

In lieu of upgrading everyone to IE7 is there hope that our system would be tweaked to work with IE6 w/o being so slow?

Is this being seen on all forms all the time or does it speed up after the initial load of the form?

It was constant, we have found that the ie setting for 'every visit to page' was the possible cause. When we change this setting to NEVER the problem disappears. The only problem is some of our other applicaitons require this to NOT be set to NEVER.

Any ideas on this?

Are you running as HTTP or HTTPS? We found that HTTPS sessions, since they don't cache, cause much more data to be passed when using Portal and EMSS. Over low bandwidth connections, this resulted in quite a bit of latency in some screens. Did you try "automatic"? It's possible "Never" might cause a problem if some page content changes.

we are running http. When set at 'automatic' our new system (win2008/apps 9.0.1 64 bit) is very slow moving around...but our current live system (win 2005 / apps 8.1 32 bit) has no problem with ie 6.

We have to upgrade the pc's to ie7 to fix this issue as we do not want to use 'never' for all systems. That is just a temp solution that we've discovered.
