I was wondering if anyone is using the Infor System Console and/or the mobile app.  If so, do you like it?  If not, why.  I'm just trying to see if it is worth my time to install and test.  Also, is there a license fee for the product?  Any input would be appreciated.

Hi, Yes, we've used it here at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). We were actually in the Beta test program for it. It's a pretty slick tool that provides quite a bit of information. We had it installed on our test environmant. Did the install myself. It's an interesting install since it requires a couple third-party components that also need to be separately installed (Hyperic Sigar and Derby database). That went well though. We got licensing for it for our prod environment when it went GA but we haven't installed it yet. We're in the heat of our v10 upgrade. So, maybe later in the Fall? As to the mobile monitoring component, we weren't able to do that as we're not allowed to have our phones 'talk' to the network, either inside or out. Bums us out!! Maybe someday on that cause that would be helpful to us.

On the licensing cost, there *definitely* is one. It's not a free product.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have other questions.

Leonard,

I installed onto LSFv10 box, during my post-install, when i tried to click on any tabs, it's just hung. Since you installed/used it before, would you mind share your experience. I can be reached offline at tjmannonline@yahoo.com

I heard about this product while at a MRLUG user group meeting at the Infor office in NYC last year but have had it on the back burner. Is it fairly straight forward to install and can anyone provide a brief summary of what information it provides? We are running V10 Env and S3 apps on prem and also utilize LBI, IPA and EMSS. Thanks.

For one environment, it is moderately useful. If you manage multiple environments, then it is a time saver. There is also an mobile app you can download and try out for ISC.

You can keep track of LSF, LBI, IPA and lsf job status etc. It can monitor system resources like CPU/memory/storage utilization etc @ main tab. Best to download the guide and read it.

@TJ Mann
Is your ISC installed on a separate instance of websphere appserver/webserver? The installation is pretty straight forward by following the installation guide.

Sounds good, can it provide any info on EMSS utilization, last login, max concurrent users, etc? Sifting through IIS logs is not my favorite pastime. Thanks.

max concurrent users is not tracked in ISC. It can be tracked with user monitoring via ISS (Infor Security Service). EMSS utilization is a bit broad. Are you referring to the webserver utilization in terms of resources? Or the websphere cluster heap memory utilization? Or the appserver resource utilization for the EMSS instance?

Last Login - as far as i know, the only Infor provided tools that can display the last login is via Infor OS/IFS. Lawson does not have it (You can kind of track it via grep IOS*.log or grep the IIS logs).

There are some good diagnostic functions.
System services tracking (latm, lajs, ladb, websphere etc. which you can set alert for)
Patch Info display (All the patches, app or environment when they are installed)
Configuration Layout in a flowchart format (a bit buggy)
