Intermitant System Slowness

I am getting reports from our users in testing our new 9.01 apps, that they experience system slowness on inquiry of forms like GL90, MA26, and drill around.

I have looked at our server and there is no load to speak of, verified with the DBAs that there was no excessive load and no errors, they are not experiencing it in PROD at the same times so I have ruled out network. Our websphere logs do not show anything out of the ordinary and security logging is at the same level as production.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to where else I can check.

I would increase the websphere webcontainer thread pool inactivity timeout.

Log into your websphere admin console, go to your appserver > thread pools > webcontainer, set the "thread inactivity timeout" to 30000 from 3500.

Do the servers need to be restarted after doing this?

Only the websphere appserver needs to be restarted.
