What types of testing have others done when moving from MKS to LUU? We have HR/Payroll, GL/AP, Process Flow and EMSS.

Would full system testing by all functional users be required including end of monthand end of year programs?

Any advice is appreciated!

Oh heavens no!!! You only need to test the following items:

1) ProcessFlow Integrator/BCI scripts
2) EDI Maps (especially if you use DataStage)
3) Interface/System Scripts (especially anything using MKS)
4) LID users (just need one or two)

....This is all you need to do. You need one power user per functional area *that has interface scripts*, AT MOST, to help you.

Thank you for the information. In regards to the portal users of lawson, such as our GL suite & HR suite users, what would their testing entail. For example, our payroll group runs a lot of various reports as does the GL with the RW100 reports. We also use Add-ins for uploads and interfaces to upload data.

Would these type of items need testing?

IF you are ONLY migrating from MKS to LUU, then no, you don't need to do any of that. If you are updating/patching the Environment and/or Portal also, then I would test those things also.
