Does anybody know if either Infor/Lawson or a third party vendor has a tool to monitor a user's activity within Lawson S3 Portal (Ming.le)?

We have had Human Resources inquire if we can monitor and track a user's activity within Lawson. I know we can track actual changes to the data on multiple forms/tables by way of the 'last modified' information in the database tables, However, we are unaware of any product to allow us to simply track screen/data view activity only.

Is anyone else aware of a product out there for this, or has anyone devised their own methodology on how to accomplish this on their own?

Thank you.

We use the Kinsey product and one of the features it has is transaction monitoring. I will see if I can msg you a screen shot showing how you can drill down into any coworker's transaction activity by clicking on the number. You could go even deeper if transaction monitoring was turned on and get specific details. Give them a call they have a great product. http://www.kinsey.com/

Well there are three products I'm aware of: (listed with Infor first, and then products based on date of availability into the market) 0) Infor's internal monitoring capability (built for they could do audits of your software usage, and beginning to be exposed by ISS and ISA) 1) Kinsey's product, originally called ESBUS (though I'm not sure they are still calling it this) 2) Velocity's product (both are originally the brain child of one guy, Paul Mockenhaupt) 3) Avaap *MAY* have a solution, but I don't know how complete it is for your needs.

Thank you Both. Do either of you have any inkling as to approximate cost to purchase either the Infor/Lawson or the Kinsey products? Thanks.

The Infor/Lawson components are included in the LSF/ISS software itself, but to get a usable interface (as of today, at least), you'll have to roll your own. I do not recall if ISA has a cost, but my recollection is that it does NOT. As for the other vendors, I don't know, as I'm usually not involved in the pricing negotiations. My recommendation is to clearly define your needs, and desirable goals, and schedule a demo from each of the vendors.
