Hello All, another wonderful day in Lawson...I was wondering if anyone has found a way to search employee numbers in the Security Administrator?  I have actual usernames for logging in but I would like to see a list of employee numbers in my display...can you help me out...? I can however look in LDAP but it does not associate the employee number with a username.  Thanks for your help.

Only if you entered the EINs somewhere within SA/RM. If you've set up and created the service for ESS and the employee's identities for that service, you could search with that. -R

Thanks but unfortunately we are bound to AD with usernames thus our ESS authentication looks at the username and then access is controlled by the employee number.

Be careful with terminology--I think you mean EMPLOYEE number--EIN means something entirely different. What Roger is saying is that 1) if you have Employee/Manager Self Service, and 2) have populated XXXX_EMPLOYEE identities in RM, you can use an LDAP tool to look them up based on the RMID.

OK we do have ESS and we have populated the identities in RM but when I look in LDAP I can see the employee numbers but they are not attached to an employee userid where I can run a search...do you understand? I want to search for an employee based on a number...i tried under advanced search in user maintenance but was unable to do so...looks like i might be out of luck.

Search under 'Manage Identities", selecting XXX_EMPLOYEE as the Service. Select Employee, enter an employee, and click 'Execute Query'. On the Results tab it will show the RMIds assigned to that identity.
