Hi,

I've got a few crystal reports that are set to open as excel files. however it seems to populate blank rows between the lines of data. I've reduced the line space between the rows in crystal as much as possible.

has anyone got any ideas??

Thanks

Jon,

I would make sure you suppress all unused headers and footers and if you arent using the details section suppress that too. If you only have it set for Allow Drill Down its still going to show it in the export.
If any of my answers were helpful an endorsement on LinkedIn would be much appriciated! www.linkedin.com/pub/matthew-nye/1a/886/760/

Another thing to look at is how you have the fields anchored in their respective sections. If you don't have them all attached to the same (vertical/Y-axis) anchor (i.e. they are haphazardly placed), they will get messed up in the translation to Excel.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

I had this and finally gave up and created a sorting macro for the users.... This is in excel and then hit a keystroke that sorts everything by the value in the first column and since the blank rows have nothing they show up at the bottom.... (I know it was a quitters solution but I had bigger issues to worry about and the solution was easy .
