Open Crystal Report Hyperlink using updateModule in LBI

I have a Crystal Report open in a module on the dashboard. It has a hyperlink which opens in a new window but I want it to open in the same module.

I tried adding updateModule to the link but a url appears before the updateModule and it does not work. Can anyone help please?

On the Main tab, change the Action to "Replace"

To my surprise that did not work for me. I have a central content module which I call Results. When a user clicks on any content module to the left of this an updateModule function causes results to show in 'Results'.
A link in the Results original content (I put a url in there too) opens in the same module. But for links from other content modules that show their results in 'Results' a popup opens.

And if it is a Crystal Report (as you stated originally) what version of Crystal are you using?
