IC12 Name Changes

We have perpetual inventory and would like to update the name.  Is that possible?  If it isn't a we create a new location, is there a way to mass update the par carts with the "new" location in IC81.  Example- 15154 = location previous OR2 and now needs to be SPD

 

Any assistance is much appreciated!

You want to update the name or change the location ID? Updating the name is simple but if you want the Location ID or code to be SPD rather than OR2 then you'll have to create a new IC02 record.  And yes. you can use IC331 or Addins to mass update the source information on the pars.

If you create a new IC02 you then need to use IC320 to copy everything from the old location to the new, BEFORE the IC331 will allow the line source to change. You will also either need a physical inventory or some sort of transfer of stock from the old to the new as well.
