I am looking for an editable list, preferably Excel, of all table names under each section of S3 Production. For example, under "PO, Purchase Order" in Prod, I'd like an editable list of all subsequent table name, e.g. BUYCLASS, BUYER, POLINE etc. I want to be able to do comparisons for what tables exist in different cubes we have built in order to "harmonize" different data mart environments. I can't seem to find any way to export this data. Appreciate any help you folks can provide.

Hi AReilly, the information you are looking for is in the FILEDEF table in GEN.

Thank you for the insight. So I'm a BI analyst, not a DBA by any means, despite having a lot of access to our servers, so I'm not exactly sure how I would execute that search. But I did a quick search and looks like I'm going to need access to LID. May need to hunt down a technical Lawson peep in IT I'm guessing.

If you have access to dump the FILEDEF program in LID, you can do that, export it to excel and then sort it however you would like. We are on Windows AND i am lazy, so I find it easier to just access the database directly. It is super-obvious what all the FILEDEF columns are. Your IT peep should be able to do this for you in a jif! I'd do it for you myself and attach the file, but we do not use procurement here. SELECT SYSTEMCODE, FILENAME FROM FILEDEF WHERE PRODUCTLINE =
ORDER BY SYSTEMCODE

Excuse my strategic typo. Meant to say, "If you have access to dump the FILEDEF file/table in LID"

Awesome, thanks for the details! I've tracked down the IT guy I need and am on my way to getting LID access, so soon I'll be dangerous with what you've given me:)

For some help.... the LID command for doing this would be rngdbdump -cnt gen filedef -f systemcode filename > d:\lawson\filename.csv or you could do something like rngdbdump -cnt gen filedef -f systemcode filename | lashow and save the file from there
