IC81 - adding new items, delay to order???

Hi Everyone...

Using IC81 to add items to par areas...  there have been instances where I would like to add items to the par areas, but i need to wait to be able to order the item.  Think of it as preparing for a new item.  I would like to prep the par areas with the new item info, make a label for the par area, but I do not want to order the item until our supplier gets the supplies. 

Is there a way I can add the item number, print the labels...  but somehow not allow any ordering (via an HHT) against that item number until I 'flip a switch' or allow the ordering to start?

You can add the item to the par but make it inactive in IC81.2 (More button) until you're ready to order it.

That's kinda awesome. Do the Inactive lines even show on the handhelds?

They do not. Not until the flag is switched to Active.
