When cycle counting a location , how many bin ID groups are allowed? In our current structure we have up to 33 sections in one row. Example: H010001-H337007.

We are having difficulty freezing the whole row at one time. Our applications analyst was told,  by Infor , that only 20 sections (H010001-H200001) can be frozen. In the past we were able to freeze the entire row of 33 sections. Any help you could give us would be great.

Thank you for your time.

Infor is correct, you're only allowed 20 bin groups per select ID. When you say "sections" are you referring to bins? So you have 33 bins in one row? Generally you assign a number of bins (IC15.2) to a bin group (IC15.3) and then assign the bin group(s) to the selct ID (IC70). You're limited to the number of bin groups you can add to the select ID but you can have an unlimited number of bins within the bin group. Before we switched to cycle counting by movement class we counted by bin group.

Thanks Jon. Do you know how to you use the insert in 15.3? What is meant by "cycle count by movement class"?

Never used that inset function.  Just tried and got "Invalid Line FC Found".

For cycle counting by movement class you can set which items you want to count more or less often by assigning movement class 1, 2 or 3- 1 being the high movers and 3 being the low movers.  I run IC151 to assign the classes to the items in inventory. Based on cycle counting twice a week we set the days between counts and max number of items to count like this.

You can also run separate cycle counts for more than one "select id" (simultaneously)

Is anyone having issues freezing item lists? We have an IC70 that just freezes a handful of items on the item tab. This has stopped working and is now freezing the entire location.
