(keep it simple.  I'm a learning user.  LOL!)

Does anybody else have Gremlins in their system?  We are constantly having items "disappear" off of requisition templates. It will disappear from just one template, not all of them.  Is there some way to see who is doing what in Lawson.  Are there settings we need to change or apply for the different users? (I know nothing about the settings.)   This is getting frustrating having departments call all the time for items that disappear on their requisitions.

Lol. I have seen a few in my day... What you're most likely seeing is a bug, but in order for anyone to give you a more concrete and detailed answer, it would be helpful if you posted your RQC, and any other relevant version and patch levels.

Ummmmm........

You lost me at RQC.  I do know it is Lawson 9.0.1. Where do I find the other info?

I have a related gremlin! RQC Template Search isn't finding all items. And which item it decides not to find varies from template to template. But if they actually page through the template, they can see the item. In v10 you can now turn on template auditing on PO00 and then run audits on PO165 to see if anything changed on the templates from the time the item was last seen. Things that affect RQC showing a Template line: Requester restrictions on RQ04 have filtered the Purchasing Class or Accounting Unit on the PO15 line, Req Loc isn't a participant for the Ven Agreement Ref on PO15, Inventory gremlin from IC12 is doing something unspeakable to the RQ01 fill/kill I've also dumped PO Templates into Excel and uploaded them back as a brand new template with a different name. Old name doesn't work but new name does. Gremlins are a viable reason to me!

hey LaDora - when you say "requisition templates" do you mean the templates that are built in PO15? If so, you can speak to IT and have them run a database download (query) against the procurement template table. This will show you what changes have been made to any template and who did it.

Each component of the product has a version number and patch level. Depending what you're doing, will determine which parts you interact with. So when you mention requisitions and templates, you are most likely interacting with a component called RQC, and you are certainly interacting with the RQ/PO modules of the S3 business applications. At minimum you'll want to post the RQC version (will look something like 10.0.7 patch 18) and the S3 version, MSP, and any relevant CTPs you have handy (will look something like 10.0 MSP 6, with CTP12345 installed) Other version numbers, such as Portal and LSF are helpful. The platform (such as AIX, Windows, Linux) can also give us clues to help. Feel free to call me offline also, Kwane 505-433-7744

LaDora, As you are new, I'll share that based on my observations, forum members such as Kat V, JonA, SCMaster-jk2 are literal experts in this area, and can certainly help you, even without version numbers more quickly than most of us.

SCMaster-jk2:  That is perfect!  Getting this report may be interesting.......I'll keep you posted!  LOL

Kwane: I'm filing your number away for emergencies!

Kat:  It's nice to know I'm not the only one with Gremlins!

Thank you everybody for all your help.  I pretty much have baptism by fire with this system.  You are my lifelines!  THANK YOU!!!!

SCMaster-jk2:  The item has already been added back on to the template.  Should I wait until the next mysterious disappearance before running the report?  I am guessing it will show only the last transaction?

You can have them run it against the procurement template audit table and it will all changes that have been made at all points in lawson history so you should be good to run it any time.
