We are moving to V10 MSCM and are trying to reconfigure handhelds to connect to our new MSCM system.

CAB files are applied and we start the login process.  Dashes move across the screen but after multiple attempts, we get "Authentication Failed. Please contact your administrator".

Users can login to V10 MSCM Server from their desktops.

Our device is a Motorola MC55.

Under File ->Settings did you input the MSCM Server Address?

We upgraded to v. 10.1.8.16 last month and found there’s a new Auth tab on the handheld application that had to be filled out before the device would connect. There are two fields, Public Key and Secret Key. We enter LaWson10 in both. Don’t know if that’s universal or something our consultant had to choose.

Must be admin's choice - ours is lawson in both.

The value in Public/Secret keys must match the one set in the mscm.filter.properties file.

Make sure it's done there. Note that all passwords in that file are obfuscated (see the MSCM Admin manual for proper procedures related to installation and maintenance of the passwords)

Do you have a screen grab of your Comm, Auth and Op Mode tabs?
