RQC and change orders

In the public sector there are a LOT of change orders to PO20's and PO25.7 Service Agreements.

Currently, paperwork is issued for change orders.

90% of the time,the change order is to add or subtract money to a Service line

How do others use RQC for change orders?

Do requesters enter the new dollars, and does the buyers add a new line for the increased funding, do buyers add a new line for the increased funding, then cancel the new line and add or subtract the dollar amount to the exisiting PO line in PO20 or PO25.7?

Requesters will enter the additional amount in RQC and it goes through approvals as usual. They'll usually enter a description of "add to PO...". The buyer adds to the existing line in most cases unless the line is fully invoiced and closed. I don't think the buyers are notified about lowering the cost on a service line- we don't use PO25.7, we just enter the service on a PO. But I do have a report that they can run to see the remaining amount on service lines. I'll run this myself from time to time and close out old service lines.

Do your buyers bring up  the RQC in PO23? Do they then add a new PO line to the existing PO20, then take that that amount, add it to the line that needs the increase, then delete the "new line"?

I was incorrect. I just talked to our capital buyer and another buyer and they said they just add the change order amount as an additional line to the PO.
