Approval Inbasket

I looked at the blog post and it talked about having a proccess that approves everything not already rejected that doesn't seem to be what I was asking about. I have a custom design studio portal page for the inbasket display I was wanting to add an approve button to the page instead of having them use the approval link in the Navagation Menu.

I sent you to that blog posting so you could see the JavaScript code to build for an Approve or Reject link. It wasn't an exact match to your query - just a sample. The posting also indicate the information needed within your link.

Can I ask why you want to bypass the inbasket if you are using a Lawson Design Studio solution? Is it to save on administration with ProcessFlow? You can set up the UserActions to go to userid's instead of tasks that reduces the amount of admin (I am assuming this is 9.0). The problem with the solution given is it assumes you know the workunit related. That is not always the case and ensuring you get the correct one can be complicated. You also lose much of the functionality within the inbasket (although that may also be your intent), such as add/viewing comments, viewing the approval history, utilizing the pre-exec and exec display functionality. Not knowing how your portal page is set up either, what about proxy, can someone get into the screen if the approver is not there.
