In the latest LSO there is a .msi installer for smart office that simplifies installations in virtualized desktop environments. Note that the server OS must be 64 bit (Windows server 2008 R2)

We have it in our plan to test Citrx as well as Office 2010 deployed as a virtual desktop. We should get to testing this as we fall in line with testing of VDI.

Worth noting that the .msi package is installed in the LSO server's directories and is not available as a seperate download from mylawson.com

The tech blog from Lawson goes over this topic in detail. It was released yesterday. We are still looking at this long term but short term we are local installs.

Hi All,

Has anyone successfully deployed via Citrix yet and any issues experienced? We will be doing the same in the next couple of weeks and just curious of any pitfalls encountered.

I know you lose your ability to use 1click upgrades, but other than that we never got around to testing this scenario at Moffitt before I left.

Hi All, Anyone had any updates on using LSO via Citrix? I've been able to install on our Citrix farm and run the LSO client but features such as Export to Excel are failing. I have read this functionality might not work but wondering if anyone has any feedback on how they deployed via Citrix (.MSI install or packaging ClickOnce) and the integration with Office.

Thanks for the help,
MP

Any updates on LSO via Citrix? We're just now investigating installing LSO, and the techs would prefer to NOT have desktop installs.
