We just upgrade to LSF 9, and are on 8.1 apps.  Add-in queries are painfully slow now and many times won't finish (queries that ran in less than a minute are now running 30+ minutes).   Any ideas what might be causing this?  Seems to be particularly with add-in queries that are using more than one table.  Thanks

which platform are you under? Windows? Do you have the same problem in portal? Are you using the latest add-in after the upgrade?

We're on 8.1 apps and had moved to LSF9 last November, and we didn't experience any slow down - however, several of our queries had to be re-done because field numbers had changed and had to be re-mapped. What happens when your job doesn't finish? Have you reviewed the error log?

Unix/Windows.   We have had some jobs run slower in portal, but generally speaking we're ok there, and it's just add-ins that we're seeing significantly slower run-times.

We are on the latest version of add-ins.  Tried recreating queries and are still having the same issues.  Have not reviewed the error log - I will ask IT how to do so.  Thanks

If you go to the folder on your desktop where the add-ins are installed (i.e. C:\\Program Files\Lawson Software\Office Add-ins) you should find a folder called LoginDir - the error log is inside that folder. Good luck

Are you using Lawson Security or laua? Do you have a test server where you can try to duplicate the issue? If so, after duplicating the issue, try turning security off and see if that improves performance. There may be an IOS patch you need to have applied to resolve the issue.

We use UNIX - LAUA - We did not experience this in our test environment - only in Production.

Test and production are at the same patch level? Environment and application?

You might want to look into tunning the system.lawson has the article Performance Tuning Recommendations for Customers on Lawson System Foundation (LSF) 9.0.0.x. We made a few changes and it help the performance. We changed the idletime from 60 secs to 60 mins in ladb.cfg.
