I'm looking for assistance with an Lawson excel query. The query pulls employee information (name, work location, pay rate). My problem is trying to get pay rate information "as of" a defined date. My query currently pulls information on employees that were employed on the defined date (i.e. 12/31/2008) but its downloading the employees current rate of pay, not their rate of pay on the defined date (i.e. 12/31/2008). Any idea on the query criteria that would solve this problem???? Thanks

If you're able to pull status on a defined date, the rate should follow if the field is marked to log history.

We run a similar report here, however, I actually found it easier to use HR writer to obtain the info

You should be able to pull the pay rate off the position history table(PAEMPPOS). It's not the easiest table to use but I think it's exactly what you are looking for as a "Point in Time" report. You will have to play with the effective date and end date a little bit to get what you want.

This might not be as easy as you might think.
Are you using Lawson Add-ins to pull this info? because depending on what other info(tables) you would like in the report Add-ins might not be the best tool for the job.
