Upload comments to IC18.1

Does anyone know of a way to upload comments to IC18.1? I have many items that need comments put in and I can use the Add-Ins wizard to create the comment in IC18 but do not see any way to actually upload the comments themselves. It is very time consuming to have to click on "Has Comments" for every item and manually enter them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The question comes up from time to time. Sorry, Addins cannot be use to add comments.

I was going to add to my reply but it seems the edit function is not available for this post. I was just thinking as I posted that I use a macro program called Macro Express for those instances where Addins isn't a good solution to automate a long and tedious process. Macros can be cumbersome though because all the screens have to be in the exact place when you recorded the macro and if the pc or server response time is slowed for any reason the macro can get out of sync. I usually close all programs except the ones needed to complete the task which are Lawson and Excel which holds the data I want to add.
