I have a spreadsheet my HR department has given me that has
column A (company number) found in PA02
col B (pos number) found in PA02
col C (effect date) found in PA02
col D (pos desc) found in PA02
col E (add flag) need add in HR15.2
col F (badge title) need add in HR15.2
col G (badge title desc) defined in PA04.5

So the only things i need to do is really use column E and F for the upload, but need the other columns so that the spreadsheet can determine what position gets what badge title I need to add.

I tried to just do an add so that anything that is already entered into Lawson will just bypass. I ran this and it said add completed, but then I go to HR15.2 and the badge title I am needing to add with column F is still blank.

Here are examples of what I am using...

BTW. PA02 references HR15.2 (that I am needing to update) with a "User Fields" button at the bottom of PA02. You click user fields and it goes to HR15.2 where I am needing to upload the badge titles.

It almost looks like I would need to do something like https://www.lawsonguru.co...eId/434/default.aspx

But does anyone know of an easier way??

Also wondering if this can be done through HR515 somehow? Sorry, I am not too familiar with uploading data into lawson.

Lawson Support gave me a nice little template. I have filled it out in with the info I needed and also used the OBJ-ID they mention in their template. I run the upload. Says add-complete. I go and look and nothing has changed nor been added.

Here is their template:

Not sure if this is helpful to you, but here's another HR15.2 template (we don't use position user fields, so I can't comment how well this particular template works).  Good luck!

Uploading the user fields is dependent on using the field keys. If you have the option of using a conversion file instead, you may find that easier. It can be done on the conversion file.
