GL10.1 - Company
Use Company (GL10.1) to define and maintain a general ledger company.
The company represents the highest business unit or legal entity in your
organization.
For example, the company could be a corporation, holding company, division,
or region. You can structure the company as either a single business entity
or as multiple business entities under a single corporation using a company
group. Within each company, you can define up to five organizational hierarchy
levels. To assign an address, enter or select an address code.
**Processing Effect
The company identifies your base operating currency, accounting periods
and fiscal year, period ending dates, and valid chart of accounts.

GL10.2 - Backposting Control
Use Backposting Control (GL10.2) to open a period for backposting. The
period must have a Limited Close status. An asterisk displays next to the
periods that have been backposted to.
