Good Morning hope everyone is staying safe!  I have been tapped on the shoulder to come up with a process of how to track the vaccine using the lawson inventory system.  Is anyone else tracking this in the system?  If so how have you set this up, how does this get translated into how many doses of 1st and 2nd dose left, days left to expired....etc.  I have built this out in our test system based on how I think it should be tracked but would love to hear others input.  Thank you in advace!

      Brenda,

      Several questions, not necessarily answers.
      1. Who will be entering the data?
      2. Will those people also have access to Lawson as well as the application you're setting this up in Lawson?
      3. Would it not be easier to do this on a password protected spreadsheet?

IMHO, Lawson is the worst way to keep track of what you're trying to do. A spreadsheet could do what you've listed out and easily track usage, flag for expiration dates, etc. Hopefully, how you set this up is your choice and the Lawson "option" isn't being forced on you. :-)

      Good Luck!

We are not tracking the vaccine in Lawson. It is tracked the way we track the annual flu shots.

          Hi Mark

Thanks for replying!  It will be the pharmacy folks that will be entering the data into the system and they will have access to the applications in lawson.  There is alot of build that needs to occur as well as training. Currently they are tracking via spreadsheet, but they were hoping to find a better way.

Again thanks for replying I appreciate the feedback.
