I am trying to determine the data set that is used to calculate Average days of use for an item that is used calculating Current Days Stock On Hand in the IC44 form. How many days back is the calculation going to get the total amount used of an item and what transactions types are also used in the calculation.

Lawson divides the total usage for the previous and current periods by the number of days in the previous period plus the number of days in the current period up to the current (system) date. Total usage means all issues, adjustments, receipts, and transfers.

Hello, I think I found the below formulas in a Lawson document somewhere but I can't be sure at this point. We utalize crystal reports an have modified this formula to take in available quantity (SOH - Allocated), for a more accurate estimated DOH.

Current Status Displays the current quantity information of the item selected at the particular location.

        Current Average Daily Usage:
*Outflows this Period + *Outflows Last Period/
Number of Days This Period + Number of Days Last Period

        * = IssuesQty + SalesQty + TransfersOutQty, which are viewable on IC49.1 (Usage History)

        Current Days Supply on Hand:
        Item Location Quantity Available/
        Current Average Daily Usage

        Current YTD Turn Rate:
*YTD Sales Qty + YTD Issues Qty/
        Average Stock On Hand (**ITL-AVG-SOH-QTY)

        * = YTD sales and issues quantity, viewable on panel IC49.1
        ** = ITL-AVG-SOH-QTY, viewable in the ITEMLOC/DBICITL table

This doesn't display very nicely on here but it's not giving me an option to attach a document. I can share this section of our manual with you if you'd like or the crystal - just let me know your email.

I'm trying to find the field for days on hand. Does that exist anywhere within the database?

It may be ICHISTORY and ITEMLOC. I think you may need to make sure IC135 has been run to update the averages.
