    Problem:

In MSCM, when receiving a PO and printing a delivery ticket, it appears that MSCM determines which printer to use based on the requesting location for that PO.

    Current Process:

Currently at our hospital, we have three people receiving at the same time, and they are not able to sort and group the packages by location before receiving them. In other words, all three receivers are receiving POs from many different locations. Currently they are running a PO30 from an actual computer, but we want to move towards using MSCM to receive and then print a barcoded delivery ticket which we can then track.

    Solution?!?!:

We would like to be able to assign a user to a printer (it would be a handheld printer), and then any POs received and printed by that user would go to the same printer. Anybody know of a way to do this?

    Thanks so much!

There is a hospital that has done this - they presented at Inforum a couple years back. We have a wireless printer purchased but ran into internal problems with our internal security vs the firmware on the new handhelds. But the printer itself adds to your network and is available like any other.
