I would like to change the "from location" (id=f41) for items within templates.

I am utilizing Excel add-ins to save time (instead of using PO115), because there are many, different item #s within different templates.

Unfortuantely, I am unable to attach my add-in template to this post, but I have posted it below along with the mapped field id (red font). The add-in job is identical to the below.

When I elect "change" and upload the add-in I receive the following error: "Must use "M" line function when changing line numbers (_f22r0)".

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

PRO GROUP TEMP REF FROM CO FROM LOC FC LINE ITEM# FROM LOC
    F2 F6 F13 F14 F22 F23 F24 F41 Results from PO15.1
CNE 2210 31206 LAB HEMATOLOGY 2210 KRS C 1460 100549 KOFF Must use "M" line function when changing line numbers (_f22r0)

The only thing you're missing is the "position to" field (_f7,PT-POE-LINE-NBR) which will have the same value as the line number for that data row. This brings the line you want to change to the first position.

When changing PO15 line items with an upload, I've generally found that the only way it works is to delete the line and then add it back in. So you will have 2 lines for each item change, one "D" and one "A". If you use the "M" function with PO15, it just throws an error.

That's just the message Lawson returns when trying to change a line without identifying the position to field.

Jon is correct - you need to change your f23 to f7 - upload as change only and it should be fine.
