I cancelled a req and it is now in closed status.  I need to remove the line from the req because the money on the req is still tied to the activity in the system and I'm overbudget.

How can I reopen a closed req?

By cancelling the req do you mean that you cancelled the line in PO23 which left an RQ commitment on the activity? If so, what we've done in these cases is use a quickpaint screen to delete the RQ system commitment in ACCOMMITX. The total commitment in ACCOMMIT will update after this is removed. This was the action that Lawson support directed us to do several years ago. In any case, you would have to use a quickpaint screen to change the status of the closed req to "unreleased" to delete the line. But I'm not sure that this action wouldn't corrupt your data in some way. Deleting the commitment from ACCOMMITX has always worked well for us.

Remember that using a quickpaint screen makes changes directly to your database going outside of Lawson business rules.  It's always good to open a case with Infor/Lawson to guide you through this process.

Thanks, I've passed this along to my IT support to help with this issue.  I think your comments will be very helpful.
