We are debating whether to use Lawson's LBP module or buy a third party tool/application I understand their are pros-n-cons with either approach and the big one being Lawson's tight integration if the financials and budgeting software to come from the same provider. But ...

We currently have a seperate database app that tracks requests made against the capital budget, Lawson PO's are then generated against the request. We are going to shortly begin implementing Activities but I will be working on this process first and would like to make sure it will intigrate into activities. Any suggestions on 'Best Practices' reading Thanks Jeff

After hours of diagnosing if it is a Port issue, URL settings issue, IIS websphere issue, it appears that LBP cannot communicate with LBI. The LBP reports are lawson solution pack reports that were deployed successfully some time ago. ...

I am very experienced with Crystal and have used attributes in financial reports but the LBP database is new to me.  it will probably be next week before I have access to the files or views. Any tips would be very welcome. Thank you.

1 Replies and 6772 Views and 0 Subscribers LBP - Backup Notification  6772  1  0 Started by  Askeptic Hello, We have a new install of LBP and when a user logs in, they get the 'Backup Notification' pop-up from LBP. While they can simply click OK to be reminded in a day, or upon their next successful login attempt, we are looking to hide this message completely. Is there a way to do this other than actually running a full backup of the server through LBP Message: Backup Notification No records of a successful backup Thank you! LBP 9.0.11.325 (Patch 8) S3

We are in the initial phases of implementing LBP (this is the first week of training/prototyping) and I can't seem to find any documentation on how to maintain LBP data. We have 5 productlines that we constantly move data to and from for our other Lawson implementations (Finance and HR) , with one productline 'attached' to LBP. Typically, I refresh data from one productline to another with expsysdb and impexp. Can I still use these commands to move data to my attached LBP pro...

0 Replies and 4432 Views and 1 Subscribers Metric and Formula Models to Calc PTO  4432  0  1 Started by  RickARHS I am new to LBP and just getting my feet wet. We would like for the PTO dollars to be calculated based on a provided by users, then that PTO dollar amount be pulled out of the salaries total. If salaries and wages were $100,000 with 10 PTO, the result would be salaries and wages = $90,000 and PTO = $10,000. When we try to set this up we get a circular reference error. Can we create sub-accounts that can hold the original salaries and wages total, then calculate PTO based on this and ret...

0 Replies and 4066 Views and 0 Subscribers Copying Actuals to Budget  4066  0  0 Started by  Michael Hello! Has anyone encountered any issues copying actuals into budget. We are trying to migrate actuals to budget using bulk copy (FB120). Base currency version goes in just fine, but when we want to copy actuals into the reporting currency version it still brings amounts in base but uses US1 as the currency (doesn't do translation). Thanks in advance for suggestions. - Michael.
