Hello, I'm relatively new to Lawson.  I've been using it now for six months.  During our budget process, I learned to use the Excel addin to upload account information into FB20.  This made things MUCH easier and faster.  I know there has to be a way to upload monthly journal entries but I haven't figured out how to do it.  Can someone point me toward a good resource for learning how to upload entries into the General Ledger (GL) as well as Recurring Journal (RJ) areas?  I'd be a hero at work! haha Thanks!

You've help others by your reply....thank you! I see that this shows you the excel template format, but do you have the actual .uwf wizards to go with each one or do they need to be set up?

      Thanks,

There are two ways to upload journal entries via Excel addins:
        1. You can use 2 steps, uploading first to GL40.2 to create the JE header, and then using GL40.1 to upload the detail lines.
        2. Or, you can upload to GL65 and then use GL165 to interface the entries.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

This is great. Thank you all for your reply. Looks like I have some testing to do with all of those templates.

rsq2_15: Hi, If you need additional help, please let me know. I've been using various Add-In's for about 3 years, for most of the AM, GL & FB screens and have documented processes, along with a GL Users PowerPoint presentation. Dave (mitchell.d@ghc.org)

Has anyone ised the self contained upload worksheets? I'm stuck on the log in process. Is there any trick to it? Or does IT need to grant me special access?

dcaiani, yes, you'll need to be set up with Lawson Portal access. IT should be able to do this if you have Portal licenses. Also, do you have the Lawson Addin installed for Excel? You may need this as well. Once you get those, everything should work perfectly. I've used a few of the self contained sheets and really like them. Good luck!

So it's been a few years since I've needed the website above but I need to use it again. Now, when I use the link in the second post above, I get a screen saying I need to be connected via VPN. Anyone know how to get to this site? Thanks!

You get it from the Infor Xtreme site:

                      Technology
                      Technology Sample Content
                      MS Add-Ins Spreadsheet
