I would like to create an elimination company. I believe I can use the GL110 to do a company copy over and change the company status to "E" in GL10.0.
However, I would like to keep the elimination company simple with less Accounting Units set up, etc. Is there another method? Is there anything that I should be aware of?
    Thanks
    Liz

I usually just created a whole new company on GL10. An accounting unit is setup for each company that will be using the elimination company. Make sure to set each accounting unit to handle both balance sheet and income statement accounts.

hi - i realize this post is old, but i'm just getting into creating elimination companis for our reporting and i can't find any information on how these work. The only thing the GL user guide mentions is how to create one in GL10 and lawson/infor KB has no information. I work in It, but have some accounting background and have been tasked with figuring out how to get our consolidated reporting working by using an elimination company. I need to understand how it works in the actual reporting. If anyone has some general information that would help i'd appreciat it!!
