Interim Assignments

    Curious how different groups on GHR are tracking interim assignments?  We go live in October and plan to have supervisor structure tied to position.  Our leaning is to give individuals additional work assignments and flag them as interim so they can assume the direct report structure tied to the position.  Other suggestions were possibly using delegate functionality.  

    How do others handle this?

      I, too, am interested in this topic. At this time, we are requiring that the individual either get assigned an additional work assignment in the role they'll be in on an interim basis, or the individual must be transferred into the role for the interim period. Neither of these solutions are particularly efficient. The job 2 option requires someone to follow-up to confirm the end of the interim period or risk hiring someone into the same role, which messes with the way our approval workflows function. The transfer option requires a transfer back into their original role when the interim assignment is complete. The other option would be to assign a Supervisor number to the individual's current role, but it is not ideal to assign that to an individual contributor role - it also would require that someone remember to unsync the role after the interim assignment is complete.
