Has anyone upgraded from landmark ltm version 10 to 11? We would just like to know if it is a smooth or painful transition. We just found out that we have to be on 11 in order to go to the cloud. Thank you!

I am finishing up just such an upgrade right now, and the answer to your question - it depends.
If it's just LTM, and you do not need to upgrade LSF along with it, and you have the latest DSP/ISS implemented already, it's relatively smooth transition. From application point of view, it is a little different, and there is some learning curve, but not a huge one. From technology point of view, the upgrade is not very complicated, but may take a little while, depending on your configuration, amount of data and system use.

Thanks for the info, Alex. We have not been told that we have to upgrade LSF along with it. We are on LSF 9 and won't upgrade to 10 until we go to the cloud. Infor is telling us we can't go to the cloud until we are on ltm 11. This was a total surprise to us. They never mentioned it until after we signed the contract. We are assuming LSF will remain on 9 with the ltm 11 upgrade. What version of LSF were you on when you upgraded?

Hi Lynne, we did successfully upgrade from LTM 10.2 to 11 while on LSF 9. It was a relatively smooth transition both technically and functionally. And, we did gain some needed functionality in the Performance Appraisal module and the User Experince in EE and MGR Space is much improved. We are using the WebUI option for the delivery of the Employee and Manager Space and Rich Client for HR users. It takes a bit of time to configure and test both deliver options. But we did not run into any real issues. Question for you regarding the LSF upgrade to 10...are you paying for the extended support while waiting to upgrade to 10? We are trying to push through an upgrade to 10 as the 9 is unsupported (I believe). Have you experience any issues with service while running an unsupported version? Thanks!

Kim- Infor gave us an extension because we agreed to go to the cloud. I'm not sure of the specifics of the contract. Our support has not gotten any worse than it was. They still accept our incidents and work on them. I believe we have to be on LSF 10 by the middle or end of 2017.
Thanks for the info.
