When attempting to Submit a Finalized Performance appraisal to the Employee for Acknowledgement, I am receiving the following error:
Submit to Employee Error:
Cannot submit for acknowledgement; overall rating required in summary section.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find how to override this requirement. Our Performance Appraisals require only a rating on the individual competencies and no distinct overall rating. However, the Summary Section setup require a rating scale.
How have others bypassed this need for a rater to enter a separate Overall rating?

I have found the issue. The rating scale was set with the high score equal to the low score. So in this case unless an employee scored exactly 1.0, 2.0 etc it was not finding a rating group to put it into and throwing the error.
Learn from my mistake and do not set your rating scores without a range of values.
