We are looking for a resume parsing solution to utilize with LTM.  What solutions are you currently using and how effective are they for your organization?  Any feedback is much appreciated.

I have several clients that use Talent Technology for the LTM resume parsing. It is fully customizable to what you want to bring in from the resume. It is web-based so all you have to do for the setup is put in the username and password in LTM.

I would like you to try our resume parsing software - ResumeGrabber JobSuite. It is a desktop tool that allows you to parse resumes from your Outlook folders, PC folders, job boards, search engines, social networks and transfer them to your candidate database.

You can download the free trial from: http://www.egrabber.com/TU422Lo97

Tina - what version of LTM are you running? We are considering bringing up Talent Aquisition V10 but haven't found anyone running it yet.

We are on Talent Management 3.4.2 and have been using the Talent Technology Resume Parser for almost 2 years. The implementation was a non-event and we rarely have issues with resume uploads. The most painful part was identifying the competencies and skills that we wanted the parser look for. When we do have an issue it is usually related to a special character or unexpected formatting in the resume.

We are currently on V.10 and use Talemetry. I would strongly suggest not using them.  Very "dirty" parsing  and no real customer service solution.

Hi -

I would be interested in hearing from other Infor clients either implementing or having already implemented Infor's Talent Acquisition tool: what do you use for a resume parser? And, for job board posting (job broadcasting)?

Thanks.

We attempted to implement Talemetry with TM 10.1.x and Landmark 10.0.x
Talemetry and Infor claimed it was "Plug and play" functionality. It is not.
It's been about 2 months since we attempted to implement, and there were issues with the parser that brought our test environment down. We have since abandoned the parser implementation.
I agree with Dina Parker's assessment. Poor customer service and a poor product in general. They wanted us to deal directly with the Talemetry provider to act as an intermediary for bug resolution with their own software.
It was simply ridiculous.

As for job board broadcasting, we have a feed set up with our advertising agency that sends them a file drop with their needed information - it was a simple interface. Other jobs boards are simply able to scrape your page for the information they need - we had issues with job aggregators scraping our test environment though...
There are IPA examples delivered with the application that give you the framework for using a webservice interface with major job boards like monster.

Thanks, Peter, for sharing your experiences with Talemetry. That is quite helpful. May I ask if you have moved to another parsing tool, or do you simply use the limited parsing capability within the TA tool?

Hi RBH,

We use TA as delivered - we didn't bother with assessing another Parsing Tool. My personal recommendation was not to bother with parsing until we went to a more recent version of Landmark & TM where the parsing integration may be more mature. My concern was if we were having this much trouble with a tool that Infor virtually baked into their system to drive users to Talemetry, we would likely have a far worse experience with tools that were not "officially" supported by Infor for integration. (We were not willing to make another $$,$$$ mistake like that)

We are willing to revisit looking into Parsing, but not until we get to at least TM 10.2.x and Landmark 10.1.1.x

In the meantime, we make extensive use of Customizations we made to the CandidateSite.zip (External Candidate Site Custom UI file) where we coded alot of filtering and validation into the application process.

Hi, I wanted to step into this discussion and introduce myself. My name is Peter Clare. I work for Talemetry and I manage the team responsible for our entire customer base. We have many companies using the Talemetry Apply solution with Lawson. On an overall basis we process over 30 million resumes a year for our clients across many different platforms and our customer satisfaction is generally very high. Our resume extraction solution is one of the best in the industry and we have been providing extraction services to Enterprise companies for 10 plus years.

There is typically a lot we can do to improve resume extraction results by examining the mapping of ATS fields (in this case Lawson) to what the extraction output is. To that end, I will reach out to the customers above right away to rectify their concerns.

If any forum reader has additional concerns, I would welcome a discussion about our products and services.

Peter
