GL Company versus HR Company

If you use the financials and the HR pieces of Lawson, are your GL companies the same as your HR companies?

 

Do you have one one HR company and one GL company or one HR company and multiple GL companies? Or multiple of each?

WE have multiple GL companies. One HR company and multiple process levels. The process levels match the GLcompany numbers for us. I don't know if that is necessary because you can enter the distribution company on the time records and the employee pay tab, etc. It is just simpler.

I agree with the above comment.  We have several GL companies that match our process levels on the HR side.  However we only have one HR company

We also utilize one HR company with multiple process levels and multiple GL companies.  The process levels on the HR side match up with a GL company number but the numbers are not the same in our setup.

If I have the following setup

 

HR - 0400 Company 1

 

 

GL - 0400 Company 2

 

GL - 0500 Company 1

 

 

If I have an HR Company number 0400 for Company1 and also a GL Company number 0400 for a different Company, Company 2, its that a problem?  If so, where would I link HR Company 1 400 to the correctly numbered GL Company 500 Company 1.
