I am using pgmdef/Paint to create a new form in LSF 901.  After adding some fields to the form, I decided that I wanted to remove one of them.  I moved the cursor into the field and pressed "delete" and got a "Cannot Delete Field" message.  Then moved the cursor to the right of the field and tried backspacing, and got the same error message.  It doesn't matter if it is Input, Output, Header, Detail, Key, or Non-Key.  The only way I can find to remove a  field is to delete the entire row using the F10-Delete function, but this is really annoying - particularly in a detail section with several fields.  Is there any way to delete a field from a painted form once it is added?

NOTE that this is BEFORE I've generated the code, and none of the source has been modified at this point.

I tried asking Global Support, and they keep telling me I have to use SQL to delete the field, but I think they are confused about what I'm asking.

    Thanks!  Kelly

Try the 'Home' key to mark the field, and then F9 to delete the marked field

Place your cursor under the field you wish to delete then press shift/home at the same time and that field will be highlighted.  Next use your f9 (delete key) and select option B for the "marked" field.
